About

The Angela Shelton Foundation runs The Survivor Manual. The mission is to inspire and empower all survivors of abuse to heal and lead joyful lives and provide the answers needed to do so.

Thank you for helping us help others. Whether you know it or not, you know someone who was a victim of abuse. There are victims in every city in every state, in every country and not all of them survive.

Our vision is to create a hub of information, a Huffington Post of healing if you will, from healers, teachers, therapists, activists, non-profits organizations, lawyers, professionals, and survivor contributors as well as Angela Shelton herself. The hope is that survivors and supporters find the answers they need for whatever part of the path they are on. Take what works for you.

The Angela Shelton Foundation is a registered 501C3 non-profit organization; donations are tax-deductible.

The idea of the Survivor Manual came to Angela Shelton after she personally met thousands of survivors and heard similar questions and concerns. Her dream was to provide answers to the myriad of questions that survivors face as well as ideas, inspiration, information, resources, healing techniques, recommended reading, as well as ways to get involved and ways to change the world. That dream is coming true.

After speaking to over 30,000 survivors of abuse Angela Shelton wrote the book Finding Angela Shelton that is now taught in schools around the country. After becoming an expert in trauma and recovery she then created the Survivor Manual’s Warrior Workbook to help survivors on the pathway towards healing. A portion of all sales go to the Angela Shelton Foundation.

The Angela Shelton Foundation was born out of the response from the documentary Searching for Angela Shelton. With the intent of surveying women in America, Filmmaker Angela Shelton drove around the country and met other Angela Sheltons. She found that 70% of the 40 Angelas she spoke to had been victims of rape, childhood sexual abuse or domestic violence, herself included. Click here to buy the movie.
