The Other Side of Pain

Angela Shelton’s quest has always been to ‘inspire and empower victims of abuse to heal and lead  joyful lives’.  Many years ago, when I read that heading it captivated my heart. Being a survivor of abuse myself, I’ve been determined not to live as a victim, but to help others of abuse.  I was determined to conquer my demons, become healthy, play, and help others do the same.

It seemed Angela Shelton and I were both reaching for common goals.  I sought out this Angela Shelton.  I liked what I read, giggled at some of her commentaries, and cried while watching her documentary.  I have been fortunate to have met with Angela many times.  She and I shared many unforgettable moments.  There is a special place in my heart, just for her.

As Angela Shelton has noted time and again, once your sword is removed and you are living a joyful life, your possibilities are limitless. What?

Angela’s path (as others) has proven something to victims.  Just because someone has been a victim of abuse, does not mean you have to remain a victim.  Note: Victim is past tense.  She has shown us that you can be a successful, healthy individual.  She has been willing to share her documentary, her book and more.  Angela is now empowering survivors to earn money.  The list is endless as to what this fabulous young woman has the ability to do, let alone share with the world.

Angela Shelton is not about talking about pain and trauma all the time.  I believe her intentions are for the other side of pain.   Ah!  Inspiring and empowering after the trauma.  See the path she has been leading survivors down?

That is where the Army of Angels comes in to play.  Did I say play?  Now this is what Angela likes to do.  And Dance.  By the way, join us for the Dance Party 2010!

The Army of Angels have removed their swords and are working at healing and leading joyful lives.  We are Warriors.  We do not feel the need to revisit our stories.  Trauma Talk.  Who wants to sit around and talk about that all the time?  We want to have healthy relationships, to be sponges and learn as much as we can of this world, make money, and be independent.

The Army of Angels inspires and empowers others to heal and lead joyful lives. We are shining the light on others. You can’t help but jump on the Joy Jet.  If others around you are living a joyful life, why be left out?

The Army of Angels are being inspired and empowered from one another and gaining new tools for leading a joyful life.  One way is from Angela Shelton’s Live weekly show.  Please join us every Sunday at: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/AngelaSheltonFanPage?v=app_188431056207&ref=ts or  http://www.ustream.tv/channel/angela-shelton-show

A victim of abuse may believe ‘I can’t do anything’, ‘I am worthless’, ‘I don’t deserve anything’, etc.  These are a few things they may have heard repeatedly; possibly by their abuser and/or from themselves.  Hence, they are re-victimized after trauma.  If that is where you are today, please visit the various sections here on the Survivor Manual for some amazing resources.

Angela Shelton also designed the amazing workbook for just this purpose. Please download your workbook here for $9.99: https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?cl=91890&c=ib&aff=94890

The mission continues.
